Ishida X-Ray Inspection

Genetic-Algorithm image processing finds what others miss

About the Manufacturer

Company Overview

Ishida — a world leader in weighing and inspection since 1893 — brought a new generation of X-ray systems to market in 2016, engineered to deliver flagship detection performance at a significantly lower initial investment than legacy X-ray brands. (We represent Ishida's X-ray systems and checkweighers.)

The heart of the range is Ishida's self-learning Genetic Algorithm (GA) image processing. The system runs your actual product images through successive analysis trials, evolving the image filters that best expose contaminants for your product. Combined with dual-energy sensor options on the IX-G2 series, Ishida X-ray reliably finds low-density and thin contaminants — bone fragments, shell, glass, stone, rubber — even in overlapping or variable-thickness products.

Equipment & Product Lines

IX-GN Series

Optimum-value general purpose X-ray for packaged foods; metal, glass, stone, dense plastic, rubber, and bone detection with GA image processing.

IX-G2 Dual-Energy Series

Ultimate sensitivity for low-density contaminants — poultry bone, shell, cartilage — even in thick or overlapping product.

Sideview / Multi-beam Configurations

For upright containers, cans, and bottles where a top-down beam can't see the full package.

Quality & Completeness Checks

Simultaneous count verification, fill level, missing item, and shape checks at no extra cycle time.

Why This Equipment Wins

FeatureAdvantageBenefit to You
Genetic Algorithm self-learning image analysisImage filters evolve and optimize against your real product over trial runsDetects difficult, low-contrast contaminants at high line speeds — catching what fixed-filter X-ray systems miss
Dual-energy line sensor (IX-G2)Separates density differences from thickness differences in the imageReliably finds bone and shell in meat and poultry — protecting your brand where the risk is highest
Simplified operator interfaceHigh-level sensitivity setup without an imaging specialistYour line techs manage changeovers and validation in-house; less training cost, fewer setup errors
Lower initial investment designFlagship detection engineering in a value-focused platformX-ray-grade quality assurance becomes affordable for mid-size processors, not just multinationals
Simultaneous quality inspectionsCount, fill, and shape checks ride along with contaminant detectionOne machine replaces several checkpoints — less floor space, fewer maintenance items

Industries served: Meat & poultry, seafood, produce, cereals, bakery, ready meals, pharmaceutical

What Are False Rejects Costing You Right Now?

Every false reject sends good, sellable product to rework or the bin. Drag the sliders to your line's numbers — modern detection technology drives this to near zero.
